I went to see James Gibbs about my troublesome hip and he recommended a total hip replacement. He talked me through the procedure and explained things in as much detail as I wanted to know
I wasn’t looking forward to it needless to say, but his professional manner, sincerity, warmth and knowledge was very reassuring.
Two weeks post op James has signed me off; I can touch my toes (sort of!) stand on my operated leg side and even drive. I had very little post op pain only slight discomfort and was really mobile after three days without crutches.
I can only put this down to his skill and expertise and would wholeheartedly recommend him as a surgeon. Thank you James for giving me back a very large part of my life. I am so grateful to you.

Mr Gibbs has very successfully managed my total right knee replacement from beginning to end.
He is extremely approachable, and reassuring about the whole process. But also extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly and clearly.
I felt very reassured about having the operation, and I'm glad to say that it has been a complete success, with 0 to 110 degree bend within a week of the operation.
I would highly recommend Mr Gibbs to anyone requiring a joint replacement. You are in good hands.

Mr Gibbs undertook revision surgery on my left hip.
To put it mildly, it was a procedure that I was not looking forward to but when the time came and following the operation, Mr Gibbs and his team, gave me total confidence with kindness and respect.

It was such a pleasure to be in the very capable hands of Mr Gibbs. Not only did he successfully re sort my knee, after a previous knee replacement a few years ago, he is very approachable, friendly and reassuring, making me feel totally at ease under what could have been a stressful time. Within 6 weeks of the op, I am back to full mobility and pain free, highly recommend his care and attention.
